Hello my readers,
All living things do seven life processes and that is MRSGREN. We will be finding out and memorizing what they stand for.
M – Movement, to change direction. All living organisms can move.
R – Respiration, plant respiration means to collect sugar made from photosynthesis. The meaning of photosynthesis is to process sugar using water, sunlight, carbon dioxide and energy to form sugar.
S – Sensitivity, it means to react quickly when slight changes or movement happens.
G – Growth, it means expanding; increasing in size.
R – Reproduction, to duplicate or copy something.
E – Excretion, to get rid of waste products; to excess.
N – Nutrition, providing food to whatever the human body and health needs.
Is Water alive?
All living things need 7 things to do, and that is the list of MRSGREN above.
Water can move, but cannot be moved by itself. It uses nature, wind, force or anything living underneath.
Water cannot reproduce to make other things off itself, in short like water babies.
Water CAN make energy.
But other than that, there are less things it can do a living thing can do, in short water is NOT alive.
Is Fire alive?
Fire can grow,
it can respire to make energy,
it is sensitive to water,
it can consume fuel,
it can excrete and gas,
Cant reproduce and make babies.
Habitat
What is a habitat?
Give 5 examples of a habitat
- A home
- A place that meets the requirements needs to survive.
- includes lakes aquatic , polar, mountains , forest, desserts, grasslands
What is a population of living things?
A group of the same species who live in the same area or habitat.
What is a community of living things?
A community of living things are a group of different species that live int he same habitat.

The features of a kiwi
- No wings – Their wings wouldn’t be able to hold their heavy weight, and they didn’t need it because there weren’t any mammal predators back then.
- Thin, long beaked – To dig deep in the ground to find food.
- Brown feathers – To camouflage from predators.
- 3 toes – So they could run fast.
- Black eyes – So they could release all the collected light during the dark.
- Whiskers on the base of the birds beak – To sense.

The features of a male peacock
- Feathers at the back – To attract female peahens
